Couples Therapy

In your romantic relationships do you often feel…

  • Too much, or not enough?

  • Insecure about how much connection, attention and time you want in your relationship?

  • Overwhelmed by how much connection your partner wants from you?

  • When there is conflict in your relationship is your first instinct to shut down, leave, get defensive, or do anything you can to make the conflict end?

  • Are you familiar with attachment styles but are have a hard time applying it to your own relationship?

If you answered yes to any of the questions above, couples therapy can help.

Couples therapy through an attachment lens isn’t about diagnosing people with rigid labels (like “anxious” or “avoidant”) but instead offers a framework for how to understand what’s happening in your relationship - and most importantly, how to change those dynamics.

I help couples create a solid and consistent foundation of emotional security and mutual understanding. Some other results of improving attachment in your relationship can be improved communication, intimacy and healthy boundaries.

You can expect a trauma informed approach, care, warmth, humor and directness from me in our couples work. I will invite you to take risks in vulnerability and self-reflection and move away from blame and defensiveness.

Queer relationship dynamics are beautiful, unique and affirmed at this practice.
